Building Hope: Launching Fundraiser for New Rehabilitation Center

In 2021, at Hotel Africana, we kicked off an important effort to help people with disabilities. This happened during the 16 Days of Activism, and the event was led by a special guest from the Ministry of Gender, Labor, and Social Development, focusing on the elderly and those with disabilities.

The aim of the event was to gather support and funds to construct a new Rehabilitation Center. This center would be like a safe place for people facing challenges because of disabilities. The guest from the Ministry showed that the government supports projects like these, making it clear that the Rehabilitation Center aligns with broader goals for our society.

During the event, people talked about why this new center is urgently needed. They shared personal stories, showing how much of a positive difference a dedicated place like this could make in the lives of those with disabilities. The 16 Days of Activism reminded everyone that we all need to work together to help those who are vulnerable.

Many different people attended the fundraiser – from government representatives to groups helping others, companies, and individuals who care. This mix showed that everyone has a role in creating a society where people with disabilities are not just recognized but also given the support they need to succeed.

The goal is not just to build a building. It’s about creating a place that helps in many ways – with medical care, education, job training, and emotional support. This new center will be more than just a place; it will be a sign of strength, hope, and our shared commitment to making positive changes.

As we ask for donations to make this vision a reality, we hope that people and groups will give generously. The Rehabilitation Center is a step toward a kinder and more inclusive society, where everyone, no matter their abilities, can live a good life.

In summary, the event at Hotel Africana during the 16 Days of Activism was a big start for the project. With support from different people and the government, we can make this vision of a new Rehabilitation Center happen. Together, we can create a better future for those facing challenges because of disabilities – giving them not just a center but a place filled with hope and support.
