Jovan was ushered into this world by her late mother Sumaiya Namwanje (R.I.P) whose death was as a result of Gender Based Violence (GBV) that led to acid attack.  Jovan was born premature, weighing 900 gms (1.98) Ibs, gasping for breath, unable to feed and without a chance to breast feed. Jovan was not expected to survive .His poor mother all bundled up and burning in the invisible, fighting her own battle, was able to bring this precious gift to the world .Although she succumbed to the Acid attack burns, her spirit lives. As Ceresav together with our entire support network, we did everything possible in hope for the best results. We stood together in hope of seeing Sumayya through recovery. Unfortunately, like many times, victim of acid attack violence, Sumayya did not make it to survive. She lost the battle to the acid attack burns. Sumayya had no family so Ceresav took full responsibility of her funeral and burial services.  Today, Ceresav is happy to share the beautiful healthy baby Jovan has grown into. From a life less premature to a bouncing health boy here as seen in the photos. As part of   our commitment to giving Jovan the best any child can ever get in a family, Ceresav took on Jovan at the time no one saw him as a human.  We thank everybody who have continued to stand with us and encourage us through thick and thin. As CERESAV, we hope for the best for the little Baby Jovan.
