
Kyomuhendo Shalita is an acid attack survivor and dedicated Human Rights activist based in the UK. As the Advocacy Officer at CERESAV, Kyomuhendo uses her personal journey to support and amplify the voices of acid attack survivors globally. Her role involves leading advocacy efforts, crafting campaigns, and engaging with policymakers to drive systemic change, raise awareness, and emotional wellbeing for survivors.
After surviving a brutal acid attack, Kyomuhendo turned her experience into a powerful tool for change, focusing on issues such as creating awareness on acid attacks, survivor support, and prevention strategies. Her work with CERESAV is rooted in a deep commitment to ensuring that all survivors have access to the resources, care, and opportunities they need to rebuild their lives with dignity.
