CERESAV Education Fund supports children of acid attack violence survivors go to school or stay in school.

We believe that every child regardless of socioeconomic status deserves to enjoy the right to quality education to improve quality of life. Our commitment is to give children of acid violence survivors the quality education that every child deserves.

We wish to support our clients to ensure that their children stay healthy and protected from exploitation that comes with vulnerability.

EDUCATION FUND FOR SURVIVOR’S CHILDREN’S PHOTOS

The photo below is Peterson Jeel aged 7, He is in Primary 2, Peterson is one of our survivorJane Kyazike’s children and his education is supported by CERESAV following her mother’s acid attack where her skull got burnt, lost her ears and her neck area got damaged that we had to take her for a continuous surgery to separate her neck from the head, which operation was also supported by CERESAV. The Acid affected her hearing ability, neck movement and her skull can easily be exposed to the sun that she has to either avoid movement in the sun or always cover her head when it’s a sunny day. In order for her to hear, someone has to get closer to talk directly near her to speak.All that makes her vulnerable to support Peterson develop his education carrier, Peterson is an intelligent boy where by if given all the necessary support that he acquires a good education he can be very useful to the community in the future, The CERESAV education Fund was established to support survivors’ children like Peterson’s dream, like any other child. Through generous contributions to the education fund, CERESAV is able to nurture Peterson’s dream by giving him a chance to have quality education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Photo below is Hannington Bulime aged 11 in Primary .7. Hannington is one of Maggie Nalumansi’s children and his education is supported by CERESAV, following his mother’s acid attack which left her arm, neck and elbow badly disfigured. The acid also affected her eyes and she struggles with sight, which requires periodic medical attention also catered for by CERESAV. Hannington is a very smart young man who would like to become a Doctor when he grows up. His mother is unable to help this young man’s dream come true because of the challenges she struggles with following the acid attack which include prolonged hospital stays, periodic reconstructive surgeries, limited vision which limits how much she can work. The CERESAV education Fund was established to support survivors’ children like Hannington’s dream like any other child. Through generous contributions to the education fund, CERESAV is able to nurture Hannington’s dream by giving him a chance to have quality education.

Photo below is Happiness Kekirunga aged 3 years, is preparing to join school. Happiness is one of Agnes Birungi’s children and her education is to be supported by CERESAV following her mother’s acid attack when she was 5 months pregnant of her sibling Miracle, despite the excruciating pain that she was a very delicate person from the day she got burnt where she lost her nose, ears and an extensive damage to her eyes. That through all that pain she managed to give birth during surgery which was supported my CERESAV that she finally made it alive. She is currently disfigured and also needs continuous medical treatment, which makes her very vulnerable to support her family starting from her children. All these damages were due to domestic violence that her spouse had to go into hiding because of the offense committed. CERESAV is taking on this responsibility to support this family with financial support and to provide education to this little girl to have a chance to attain some knowledge. Happiness is a promising baby who really needs support. Her mother is really very helpless to hold the future of this little girl . The CERESAV education Fund was established to support survivors’ children like Happiness’s dream like any other child. Through support of the education fund, CERESAV is able to nurture Happiness’s dream by giving him a chance to have quality education.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Photo below is Atwire Treasure aged 3 in Kindergarten. Treasure is a daughter to Rebecca Ayebare one of our Acid survivors and her education is supported by CERESAV, following her mother’s acid attack which melted her body and left her with one eye   that was poured on her direct in the face. She went through several skin grafting for her to stay alive. However due to the damages acquire  the remaining eye will still need to have more surgeries for her to be able to have a better sight hence leaving her vulnerable and disfigured. Treasure is a very beautiful little girl that we would like her to also acquire education and prepare her for the future like any other children. The CERESAV education Fund was established to support survivors’ children like Treasure’s dream like any other child. The Photo below is Divine Nakyanzi aged 9 in Primary 3 and Oluk Kora aged 6 in Primary 1.Both Divine and Kora are one of our survivor Judith Alinaitwe’s Children. Their education is supported by CERESAV, following her mother’s acid attack where the whole of her back, hands and thighs got burnt, the Acid melted her rectum where she finds it hard to sit and scout to ease her self in case of a nature call.  However, she is still under treatment and needs support to go for several surgeries for the rectum and the thighs. Divine and Kora are still younger,The CERESAV education Fund was established to support survivors’ children like Divine’s dream and Oluk like any other child. Through support of the education fund, CERESAV is able to nurture Divine’s dream and Oluk by giving him a chance to have quality education.
